• Cancellations by Justitia Foundation or Subsidiaries – Should a CE event need to be canceled for any reason (i.e. inclement weather, illness of presenter, insufficient registration to host an event, pandemic, venue issue, etc.) – Director of Education & Event Strategies and/or designee will make every effort to provide as much advance notice as possible to attendees. Any registrations fees paid by participants will be refunded within 2 weeks after the original date of the scheduled event.
• Cancellations/No Show of Participants – Participants are allowed to cancel their registration for a full refund of any registration fees paid up to 3 days prior to the event for any reason. Requests for refunds will be made in writing via email or postal. Participants who do not request a refund prior 3 days of the event and/or “No-Show” for the event may submit a written request for refund to the Director of Education & Event Strategies. Refund requests within 3 days prior to the event or afterward are at the discretion of the Director of Education & Event Strategies. Final determination for refunds will be made no more than 3 business days after receipt of request
• Confidentiality of Participants/Clients – All efforts will be made to ensure confidentiality of participants’ and clients’ information. All parties involved in each event (Director of Education & Event Strategies, Host Facility/Rep, Presenters, & Designee) will share responsibility of ensuring client and participant confidentiality is respected and protected at all times before, during, and after each continuing education offering.
• Grievances – Grievances related to any continuing education event offered by Justitia Foundation or subsidiaries will be made in writing to the Director of Education and Event Strategies. This includes any and all grievances related to complaints about course content, speakers, facilities, nonreceipt of certificates, and other miscellaneous occurrences. This can be submitted via email or postal. Grievances will be evaluated by and course of action will be determined by Director of Education & Event Strategies, Social Worker Consultant, and CE Program Administrator. If resolution cannot be made or further assistance is requested or needed, the Director of Education & Event Strategies will consult with direct supervisor and Executive Director for appropriate resolution. Director of Education will document all grievance reports and keep a record of all actions taken to address the grievance.
• Record Keeping – Records of registrants, attendees, presenter qualifications, CE applications, promotional materials, approval letters, and evaluations will be kept and archived via electronic files and shared between Director of Education & Event Strategies and Marketing Manager. These archives will be kept and made accessible for no less than 7 years or length of time required by credentialing organization per event.
• ADA Facility Standards – Only facilities and platforms that are ADA compliant will be used to host continuing education events.

Refund Policy for On-Demand Workshops

Cancellations by Justitia Foundation or Subsidiaries:
If an on-demand workshop is removed, discontinued, or otherwise made unavailable by Justitia Foundation or its subsidiaries after a participant has registered but before the participant has accessed the workshop content, any registration fees paid will be refunded in full within 2 weeks of notice of cancellation.

Participant Refund Requests:
Participants may request a full refund for any registration fees paid for an on-demand workshop within 3 days of purchase, provided they have not accessed or started the workshop content. Refund requests must be submitted in writing via email.

Accessed Content:
Once a participant has accessed or started the on-demand workshop content (e.g., viewed videos, downloaded materials, or completed any portion of the workshop), refund requests will not be granted except in cases of technical issues or extenuating circumstances, which will be reviewed at the discretion of the Director of Operations. Written requests for refunds must include a description of the issue and be submitted via email. Final determination for refunds will be made within 3 business days after receipt of the request.

Technical Issues:
If a participant is unable to access the workshop due to technical issues, and those issues cannot be resolved by Justitia Foundation technical support, a full refund will be provided upon written request.

Presenter Q&A Policy for On-Demand Workshops

Justitia Foundation, Inc. is committed to supporting participant learning and engagement in our on-demand continuing education workshops. Participants are encouraged to submit questions related to workshop content to the presenter.

Intellectual Property Policy

All training materials, educational content, presentations, videos, recordings, slide decks, PowerPoint presentations, written materials, manuals, handouts, worksheets, documents, graphics, logos, curricula, course content, downloadable resources, and related materials provided by the Justitia Foundation, Inc. are the exclusive intellectual property of Justitia Foundation, Inc., unless otherwise expressly stated in writing.

These materials are provided solely for the personal educational use of registered participants and may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, shared, uploaded, published, modified, sold, licensed, transmitted, or used for commercial, training, instructional, or professional purposes without the prior written consent of Justitia Foundation, Inc.

Participants are prohibited from:
• Recording or redistributing training content or videos
• Sharing presentation slides, handouts, or documents with non-participants
• Reproducing materials for use in their own trainings, courses, supervision, or presentations
• Uploading materials to websites, cloud storage platforms, social media, artificial intelligence platforms, or file-sharing services
• Removing copyright notices, branding, or identifying information from materials

Access to educational content does not transfer ownership or intellectual property rights to participants, organizations, employers, or third parties.

Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution of Justitia Foundation materials may result in removal from training programs, denial of continuing education credit or certification, revocation of certification status, and/or legal action as permitted by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

By accessing or participating in any training, program, certification, webinar, or educational activity offered by Justitia Foundation, Inc., participants acknowledge and agree to comply with this Intellectual Property Policy.
